WHOIS Record Parser के बारे में

WHOIS output has no schema. Every registry invents its own field names — Creation Date, created, Registered on, paid-till — and pads the useful lines with pages of legal boilerplate that changes between servers. This parser maps the common aliases onto one shape, so a .com response and a .de response come out looking the same. It decodes the EPP status codes into plain English, separates the protective locks from the ones that mean your domain has stopped resolving, and works out the two figures people actually came for: how old the domain is and how many days are left before it expires. Paste the output of your own whois client and read it in one pass.

clientTransferProhibited — your registrar blocks transfers, the normal anti-hijack lock

Status codes are translated rather than listed, so a protective lock is not mistaken for a problem.

सामान्य त्रुटियाँ और समस्या निवारण

अक्सर पूछे जाने वाले प्रश्न

What does clientTransferProhibited mean on a domain?
Your registrar has set a lock that stops the domain being transferred away. It is the normal anti-hijacking default, not a fault — you unlock it deliberately when you want to move registrars.
What is the difference between clientHold and serverHold?
Both remove the domain from the zone so it stops resolving. clientHold was set by your registrar, usually over payment or an abuse complaint; serverHold was set by the registry itself, typically over a legal or verification issue.
What does redemptionPeriod mean?
The domain expired and was deleted, but is still recoverable from the registry for a limited window at a redemption fee that is far higher than a renewal. After it, the name moves to pendingDelete and is released.
Can this tool look up a domain for me?
No, and deliberately so: WHOIS runs over its own protocol on port 43, which a browser cannot speak, and routing it through a server would mean sending your queries somewhere. Run whois yourself and paste the result here.
Why do different registries use different date formats?
WHOIS predates any agreed schema, so each registry chose its own. The parser accepts ISO 8601, 14-Mar-2019 and 14.03.2019 and normalises them, which is why records from different TLDs come out comparable.
