.editorconfig Generator ke baare mein
Yeh .editorconfig Generator kuch simple toggles se ek complete .editorconfig file banata hai, taaki team ke har editor mein same indent style, indent size, charset, line ending aur trailing-whitespace rules apply hon. '2-space, LF, UTF-8' jaise kisi preset se shuru karein, default [*] section ko adjust karein, phir Makefile, YAML, Python ya kisi bhi glob ke liye alag indent width ya tab style set karne ke liye per-language overrides add karein. Generated output ek plain, copy-ready .editorconfig block hai plus one-click download, jise aap seedhe apne repository root mein daal sakte hain. Yeh developers aur team leads ke liye bana hai jo VS Code, JetBrains IDEs, Vim aur EditorConfig support wale har editor mein consistent formatting chahte hain, bina code review mein tabs-vs-spaces pe bahas kiye. Sab kuch aapke browser mein locally chalta hai — aap jo bhi configure karte hain woh kahin upload nahi hota.

Common errors aur troubleshooting
- Editor abhi bhi tabs dikha raha hai jabki .editorconfig mein indent_style = space set hai. — Confirm karein ki file ka naam exactly .editorconfig hai, project root (ya kisi parent folder) mein saved hai, aur aapke editor mein EditorConfig support enabled hai — zyada editors ko built-in setting ya ek chhoti extension chahiye hoti hai.
- Ek Makefile section ignore ho raha hai. — .editorconfig Generator mein Makefile glob section check karein — Makefile targets convention ke hisaab se literal tabs maangte hain, toh indent_style tab hona chahiye, space nahi.
- Baad ke section ki settings pehle wale section ko override nahi kar rahi. — EditorConfig har matching section ko top se bottom apply karta hai, aur conflicting keys mein baad wala section jeetta hai — apne zyada specific globs ko default [*] section ke baad rakhein.
- root = true parent directory ke .editorconfig ki settings ko rokta nahi lag raha. — root = true file ki bilkul pehli line honi chahiye, kisi bhi [section] se upar; .editorconfig Generator ise hamesha automatically wahin rakhta hai.
Aksar pooche jaane wale sawaal
- .editorconfig Generator asal mein kya produce karta hai?
- Ek plain-text .editorconfig file: ek root = true line, aapke indent, charset aur newline choices wala default [*] section, aur jo bhi extra per-glob sections aap add karein — copy ya download ke liye ready.
- Is .editorconfig Generator se bani file ko kaunse editors read karte hain?
- EditorConfig support wala koi bhi editor, jaise VS Code (2021 se built-in), JetBrains IDEs (built-in), Vim, Sublime Text aur EditorConfig plugin ke saath Emacs — file format ek shared open standard hai.
- Kya .editorconfig Generator har file type ke liye alag indent rules set kar sakta hai?
- Haan. Extra sections list mein *.py ya Makefile jaisa glob add karein aur usse apna indent style aur size dein — woh sirf matching files ke liye default [*] section ko override karte hain.
- Kya .editorconfig Generator meri project settings kahin upload karta hai?
- Nahi. Aap jo bhi option choose karte hain woh aapke browser tab mein rehta hai; file locally assemble hoti hai aur tabhi aapke device se bahar jaati hai jab aap khud usse copy ya download karte hain.
- .editorconfig file mein indent_size aur tab_width mein kya farak hai?
- indent_size control karta hai ki ek indent level kitni spaces use karta hai (ya jab indent_style tab ho toh ek tab kitni display hoti hai); tab_width ek alag, kam use hone wali key hai jo display width ke liye hai jab woh indent_size se different ho.
- .editorconfig Generator line omit karne ke bajaye insert_final_newline = false kyun likhta hai?
- Jab aap kisi toggle ko explicitly off karte hain, tool literal false likhta hai taaki setting enforce ho, na ki har editor ke apne default pe chhod di jaaye — keys sirf tab omit hoti hain jab aapne unhe kabhi touch hi nahi kiya.
