Common errors & troubleshooting

The weighted grade looks wrong even though every score is correct. — Double-check each item's weight — a typo like entering 5 instead of 50 for an exam worth half the grade skews the weighted average.
The needed-final result shows a number well above 100%. — That means the target overall grade is not mathematically reachable given the current grade and the final's weight — aim for a lower, achievable target instead.
Weights entered for the weighted-grade items do not total 100%. — The Grade Calculator normalizes by the total weight automatically, so partial or unusual weight scales still produce a correct weighted average.
Forgot to include a dropped-lowest-score policy. — Remove the item you know will be dropped before calculating, since the tool weights every row you enter.
