The Signature Generator gives you three ways to get a clean signature image. Draw with a mouse, finger or pen on a pad where strokes are smoothed into curves through every point you made, and a pressure-sensing pen varies the line width. Type your name and choose from eight script and handwriting styles, adjusting size and slant. Or upload a photo or scan of a signature on white paper and a cut-off slider turns the paper transparent. The result is trimmed to the ink with the padding you choose, saved as a transparent PNG at 1x, 2x or 3x, and, for drawn signatures, as an SVG that stays sharp at any size. You can also save with a white background. Typed styles use fonts already on your device, so their look can differ between computers.

Common errors & troubleshooting
The signature looks jagged when I draw quickly. — Slow down slightly or use a thinner pen width. Strokes are smoothed through the points your device reports, and a fast mouse movement reports fewer of them.
A typed signature looks plain or different on another computer. — Typed styles use fonts that ship with the device, so a phone, a Mac and a Windows laptop can show different script faces. Save the PNG on the device whose look you like.
Paper texture or a shadow shows in an uploaded scan. — Lower the cut-off until the grey disappears, or retake the picture in bright, even light on plain white paper.
The transparent PNG looks black on a dark page. — Dark ink on a dark background is hard to see. Choose a lighter ink colour, or save with a white background.
Frequently asked questions
Is a signature made with the Signature Generator legally valid?
Whether an image of a signature is accepted depends on the document and the rules where you are. Many everyday forms accept one, but contracts and official filings may require a specific e-signature process or a handwritten original.
How does the Signature Generator smooth what I draw?
Each stroke is converted into connected curves that pass exactly through every point you made, using a Catmull-Rom spline turned into Bezier segments. That keeps your shape while rounding off hand tremor between points.
Can I get an SVG of my typed or uploaded signature?
SVG is offered for drawn signatures, where the pen strokes are real vector curves. Typed signatures depend on device fonts and uploaded ones are pictures, so those are saved as PNG.
What does the cut-off slider do on an uploaded signature?
It sets how bright a pixel may be before it fades out. Pixels darker than the cut-off stay as ink, lighter ones become transparent, with a soft edge between so the strokes keep smooth outlines.
Which PNG size should I pick for a signature?
Use 2x for most documents and email footers, 3x if the signature will be printed or scaled up, and 1x for small web use. The padding and trimming are applied at every size.
