Sign PDF
Draw your signature once, put it exactly where it belongs, and download the signed file.
The document and your signature never leave this tab. A contract you are about to sign is exactly the kind of file that should not be uploaded to a stranger.
Most agreements ask for a signature that looks like your signature, and the usual route to one is printing a page, signing it, scanning it back and hoping the result is legible. This does the same thing without the paper. Draw once on the pad — a trackpad or a finger works as well as a mouse — and the strokes are thinned and scaled so the mark stays crisp at whatever width you place it. Position it in any corner or centred, on the current page, the last page, or every page, and add a printed name and the date underneath if the document expects one.
Features
Draw with a mouse, a trackpad or a finger on a touch screen
Undo the last stroke or clear the pad and start again
Strokes are thinned before placing, so the signed file stays small
Place on the current page, the last page, or every page at once
Five positions, with an adjustable width and pen thickness
Optional printed name and date line under the signature
Live preview of exactly where the signature will land
How to use the Sign PDF
Drop the PDF onto the page
Draw your signature on the pad
Choose where it goes and how wide it should be
Add a printed name and date if the document needs one
Sign and download
Example
Input
lease-agreement.pdf — signature at bottom right, last page only, 170 pt wide
Output
lease-agreement-signed.pdf with the signature and "J. Marsh · 2026-09-03" under it.
The printed name line sits below the signature so neither overlaps the text above.
Common errors & troubleshooting
The signature looks jagged or blocky. — Draw larger on the pad rather than smaller. The mark is scaled down when it is placed, so a big drawing gives a smoother result than a cramped one.
The signature covers text on the page. — Reduce the width, or pick a different corner. The preview shows the exact placement before you commit.
Only the first few pages are shown for previewing. — Thirty pages are rendered to keep the preview quick. Signing every page still applies to the whole document, however long it is.
The recipient asks for a digital signature instead. — They mean a cryptographic one, which binds a certificate to the file. That is a different thing from a drawn signature and needs a certificate issued to you.
Frequently asked questions
Is a drawn signature legally binding?
In many jurisdictions an electronic signature carries the same weight as ink for ordinary agreements, but the rules vary by country and by document type. Property deeds and wills often still require ink. Check what your document requires.
How is this different from a digital signature?
A digital signature is a cryptographic seal that proves who signed and that nothing changed afterwards. This places a picture of your handwriting, which is what most agreements actually ask for, but it proves neither of those things.
Can I reuse the same signature on another document?
Draw it again — the pad starts empty each time. Keeping a stored image of your signature on a website is exactly the risk this tool avoids.
Does signing change the rest of the document?
No. The existing pages are kept as they are and the signature is drawn on top, so the text stays selectable and the file structure is untouched.
Can I sign a page in the middle rather than the last one?
Yes. Page through to the one you want and choose "This page"; the signature lands on whichever page you are looking at.
