Online Tests

Online tests for internet speed, typing, clicks and reaction time, plus a keyboard tester, mic test and webcam test. Your results stay in this browser.

Online Tests

ArrayKit's online tests are quick checks you can run in a browser tab. Measure your connection with the Internet Speed Test, which reports download speed, upload speed, ping and jitter and says what your line can handle. Measure how fast you type with the Typing Speed Test, which reports words per minute, accuracy and consistency; count your clicks per second with the Click Speed Test; and see your reflexes in milliseconds with the Reaction Time Test. Then check the hardware you depend on: the Keyboard Tester lights up every key you press and shows how many keys register at once, the Mic Test draws a live level meter and waveform and lets you record a few seconds to hear yourself back, and the Webcam Test shows your camera's true resolution and frame rate and takes a snapshot. Results stay in this browser, and microphone and camera feeds are processed on your device. Only the speed test uses the network, by design: it exchanges random test data with a public speed-test server to measure your connection.

  • Typing Speed Test — Measure your typing speed in WPM with accuracy, consistency and a per-second chart.
  • Click Speed Test (CPS) — Click as fast as you can and see your clicks per second over 1 to 60 seconds.
  • Reaction Time Test — Click the moment the screen turns green and see your average reaction time in milliseconds.
  • Keyboard Tester — Press any key to light it up on an on-screen keyboard — find dead keys and test rollover.
  • Mic Test — Check that your microphone works with a live level meter, waveform and a record-and-play-back check.
  • Webcam Test — Check your camera with a live preview, true resolution, frame rate and a snapshot.
  • Internet Speed Test — Measure your download speed, upload speed, ping and jitter, and see what your connection can handle.

Frequently asked questions

Which online tests does ArrayKit offer?
An internet speed test for download, upload, ping and jitter; three skill tests — typing speed in words per minute, click speed in clicks per second, and reaction time in milliseconds — and three device checks: a keyboard tester, a microphone test and a webcam test. Each one runs in a single page with no setup.
Does anything I test leave my computer?
Not from the device tests. The Mic Test and Webcam Test read the live feed on your device to draw the level meter, waveform, preview and statistics, and nothing is recorded unless you press Record in the Mic Test, and even that clip stays in your browser until you close the page. The Internet Speed Test is different by nature: it sends random test data to a public speed-test server and receives it back, so that server sees your IP address, but none of your files or text is involved.
Why does my browser ask for permission before a device test?
Browsers require your explicit consent before a page may use a microphone or camera, and they show an indicator while it is active. Allow it for the test, and use the address-bar site settings to revoke it whenever you like.
Can I compare my typing, click or reaction scores with other people's?
Compare carefully. Scores depend on the keyboard, mouse, display refresh rate and browser, so they are most useful for tracking your own progress on one setup. Each test keeps your personal best and recent results locally so you can watch that trend.
Do the online tests work on a phone or tablet?
The typing, click and reaction tests work on touch screens, and the microphone and webcam tests work wherever the browser grants access. The Keyboard Tester needs a physical keyboard, since a touch keyboard does not report every key. The Internet Speed Test works on any device with a current browser; on mobile data, choose its Quick option to use less data.
