About Salary Calculator

Salary Calculator converts a pay amount from any pay period into every other common pay period — hourly, daily, weekly, biweekly, monthly, and annual. Enter an amount and choose the period it represents, and it normalizes the figure to an annual rate using your hours-per-week, days-per-week, and weeks-per-year assumptions, then derives every other period from that annual figure. The defaults assume a standard 40-hour, 5-day, 52-week work year, but you can adjust each assumption to match a part-time schedule, a compressed workweek, or unpaid time off. It is useful for comparing a job offer quoted as an hourly wage against a salaried role quoted annually, budgeting from a biweekly paycheck, or checking what a monthly contractor rate works out to per hour. These are estimates only and not financial or tax advice — actual take-home pay depends on taxes, benefits, and other deductions. Everything runs locally in your browser.

Frequently asked questions

How does the Salary Calculator convert an hourly wage to an annual salary?
It multiplies the hourly rate by your hours-per-week assumption and then by your weeks-per-year assumption. With the defaults of 40 hours and 52 weeks, $25/hour becomes a $52,000 annual salary.
Can the Salary Calculator handle a part-time or compressed schedule?
Yes. Open the work assumptions and adjust hours-per-week, days-per-week, or weeks-per-year to match your actual schedule, including part-time hours or unpaid weeks off, before converting.
Why does the Salary Calculator show both monthly and biweekly figures?
Monthly is annual pay divided by 12, an even monthly average. Biweekly reflects a paycheck every two weeks, which happens 26 times a year, so the two figures are not simply double one another.
Does the Salary Calculator account for taxes or deductions?
No. It converts gross pay between pay periods only. It does not calculate income tax, benefits, or other deductions — try the Income Tax Calculator for a tax estimate on an annual figure.
Is the Salary Calculator giving financial or tax advice?
No. It provides estimates only, based on the numbers and assumptions you enter, and is not financial or tax advice. Confirm important figures with an employer, accountant, or financial professional.
Is my pay information uploaded anywhere?
No. The Salary Calculator runs entirely in your browser. The amounts and assumptions you enter never leave your device.
